We stayed here New Years eve 2015 for 2 nights. After a warm and friendly welcome to this stunning house, we were shown to our large and comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable and the en-suite shower room large and spacious. The views overlooking the Irish sea were pretty even in winter. This is an elegant and immaculate Victorian house which oozes charm and character. Ian and Chris are perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was served in the dinning room and was relaxed and informal. The location is perfect for visits to Anglesey, Llandudno and Conwy. We would love to stay again. We loved the home from home feel and felt totally comfortable here. Thanks for a great start to 2016. Dawn & Ian North Yorkshire.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing. The proprietors are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Everything about the building whether the rooms or the bedding was fabulous. We loved it and will definitely recommend it.

Stayed here for a night in late October. I don't regularly stay in B and B's but I am certainly inclined to do so after the wonderful hospitality at Ellingham House. Nothing was impossible, and the room and bathroom where impeccably clean. Highly recommended

I have just spent two nights at this beautifully restored Victorian villa in a quiet side street in Colwyn Bay. What a find! The house is spacious and immaculately decorated. What a sensitive refurbishment of this late Victorian property. My enormous, light-filled room was beautifully furnished - Victoriana without the clutter! By contrast, the bathroom was ultra modern with one of the best showers I have ever known. I spent last half term at a very grand five star establishment in the Cotswolds but, frankly, the rooms at Ellingham House are just as good for a fraction of the price! I should also say that you will receive a very warm welcome from the charming and knowledgeable owners. I am regular visitor to Colwyn Bay and will definitely stay here again.

Found this boutique B & B online and was happy that I did. I was given room 2 which was large with a very comfortable bed and I slept very well after a very long day Breakfast was superb and the owners whilst friendly were not too intrusive as can be the case at some B & B. Price tag is slightly high but worth it. I will come again
Business Trip - First class, worthy of the 5* awarded by the Wales Tourist Board. Room was spacious and very comfortable with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was excellent and eaten in the beautifully decorated dining room. We ate in 'The Toad' in Colwyn Bay - great food but would recommend booking.

We stayed at Ellingham house in early November and it was simply lovely! The proprietors were exceptional; helpful, friendly, very knowledgeable about the area and recommended several places to eat, one of which was Pen-y-bryn which we also highly recommend. The room was wonderful, beautifully appointed with the charm of the Victorian era combined with the convenience of the 21st century. Breakfast was amazing (scrambled eggs with salmon yummm!!); honestly, if you're looking for someplace to go for romance and privacy, Ellingham House is perfect!!

We stayed at the Ellingham House in November for the IRB Rugby held nearby at Eirias Park. What a lovely b&b! House was charming, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was great: a wider than usual selection of fruit and cereal with a perfectly cooked hot breakfast for which there was also a choice. More so, the experience was really 'made' by our friendly, gracious, charming and helpful hosts. And our dogs were welcomed too! Enough said!

Stayed here for two nights in October 2011 in Room 5 with my partner. We are seasoned travelers and normally stay in 5 star hotels. We decided last minute to travel to North Wales without any firm plans. I selected this B&B based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The house has been renovated to a very high standard and is warm and inviting. Our room was spotless, modern and comfortable. We used the accommodation as a base and really enjoyed our cooked breakfast which was chosen from a number of hot choices. The owners are friendly and passionate.

We stayed for 2 nights in room 2 in the wonderful building "Ellingham House". The interiour is perfectly done with nice, big and bright rooms. Normally I don't feel "at home" when I am on holidays but the very warm und welcoming owners as well as the big room made me feel exactly like this. The breakfast was very tasty and is really a good start for a busy day. There is free access to WiFi in every room as well as some recommendations for restaurants/pubs and things to see in the region. We will definitely come back und would recommend it to anyone who'd like to stay in this region (which is beautiful). Definitely a high class B&B!
